We’re Retro – the US spot for Japan’s most delightfully weird and adorable gadgets. Think cassette tape speakers that actually play music (no rewinding required) and mice that look good enough to eat (but please don’t — they’re not macaron-flavored).

Our story starts with our parent company, SINCERE Corporation, founded in 2006 right in the heart of Osaka — Japan’s comedy capital. Imagine a city where everyone has perfect timing, zero filter, and turns even Monday mornings into stand-up material. That’s the vibe we grew up with, and it shows in everything we make.

We launched with quirky watches under the RELAX brand (because who needs stress when you can just… relax?), and quickly realized the world needed more “wait, that’s a thing?!” gadgets. So we started creating and curating items that make you go “huh… I need that” — all with quality way above their price tag and a little chuckle built in.

Today, we’re obsessed with retro-kawaii tech that adds joy (and nostalgia) to your day. No life overhauls required — just small, fun stuff that makes your desk, pocket, or nightstand happier.

We also try to do good when we can — teaming up with NPOs for collab products and generally trying not to be jerks.
